A five-member student team from the Mukesh Patil School of Technology Management and Engineering in Vile Parle won an exclusive award for their telemetry system in the 20th Annual NASA Moon Buggy Race, 2013, which was held in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Annual NASA Moon Buggy Race, which was started in the year 1993, creates exact moonlike conditions, and asks students to manoeuvre through these hurdles, using the moonbuggy that they design.
Ami Doshi, a member of the team, and the brain behind the concept of a telemetry system, said, “The telemetry wasn’t just a system. it was an opportunity to stand up for all that we have learnt, to make sure we did our best and did not lose hope even at the breaking point.”
